Neighbour inserts finger into woman's privates

A Hwange man, who allegedly peeped through a window before inserting his finger into the privates of a married woman who was sleeping with her husband in their bedroom, is in trouble.

Hlonipho Sibanda, 35, of Empumalanga suburb this week appeared before Hwange regional magistrate Dambudzo Malunga facing indecent assault charges.

He pleaded not guilty.

Sibanda, who is a neighbour to the married couple, told the court that the allegations were fabricated and misleading following their differences after he reprimanded her about cheating her husband.

The accused further indicated that he was in a stable marriage as a result he wouldn’t stoop so low to indulge in such an embarrassing activity for a neighbour’s wife for that matter.

In his defence, Sibanda added: “She is lying and fabricating these charges because I refused to take a letter to her boyfriend when she asked me to do so. I told her she was a married woman and I did not condone such behaviour and she got angry. She just wants to fix me.”

According to the State papers, Sibanda on October 25, 2016 at around 4am, reportedly proceeded to the complainant’s place of residence where he allegedly peeped through an open window and saw the complainant and her husband sleeping.

The complainant was sleeping near the open window and he started touching her all over the body.

After that Sibanda reportedly went on to insert his finger several times into her privates. The court heard that at first the woman relaxed thinking it was her husband but when she checked she discovered that it was her neighbour.

This saw the woman screaming for help, in the process awakening her husband. But Sibanda was nowhere to be seen as he fled from the scene.
