Bustop TV join forces with DJ Fydale

BUSTOP TV has collaborated with top producer DJ Fydale incorporating top Zimdancehall musicians to produce the Bustop riddim.

Bustop director Luckie Aaroni told the Weekend Post: “Bustop TV is proud to announce the release of its Bustop riddim which has been on cards for the past few months.

“The riddim is a product of a working partnership between the production house and DJ Fydale of Black Identify records who is not a stranger in the Zimdancehall scene, as he is behind hit songs like Mhai by Tocky Vibes

“As a production house known for its comical skits and other film-related projects we strongly felt that Zimdancehall was another medium we could grow our audience and there was no better way of doing it than working with the artists and the genre,” he said.

Bustop Riddim features renowned and budding chanters such as Soul Jah love, Kinnah, Ras Caleb, Crystal, Lady Squanda, Drum Dada, Nox, Ninja Kid, Loud H many more.

“The entire riddim is packaged with a social message that touches on various topical issues such as love, poverty, disability and more.

“To ensure Zimdanehall as a genre also got a leaf from comedy, Bustop TV comedians Gonyeti and Magi swayed from comedy and also took to the microphone to record their bit on the riddim.

“It has been an exciting path and of course out of our comfort zone, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Patience Fuzani and Tanie Cee who supported us in this exciting project,” Aaroni said.
Aaroni has been keen on collaborations for quite some time now.

“I used to think that local people don’t like local film production only to realise that they like our own local productions, they just love good productions. If you produce good products people will support you.
“I now believe in the idea of collaborations. Bustop will be a success because of collaborations of young people with different skills.

“We have Doc Vikela and Comic Pastor who are talented in the area of stand-up comedy. We have Gonyeti who is an experienced screen actor while Magi and I have knowledge in filmmaking. Godknows Homwe is a marketer and has knowledge in business administration and social media, while Dereck Nzwiyakwe who has knowledge in theatre and performing arts. So collaborations are the way to go,” he said. —Sharon Muguwu
